Remembering a cold may last year

Reading posts here and some are shutting there stoves down for the season already. Although it's my first year with a stove I remember may of last year. My wife and I just bought a house and moved in on the 23rd. The whole week was rainy and cold. Heat was running. I live north of Boston and every year it seems to be cold at times in may. I am only burning at night at this point and only going through a bag every 3 days. The next four days in my area are cold at night. Probably won't shut down until the end of may just to be safe. I know oil is down but I like pellet heat much better. Running my stove right now.

ditto , mines on a thermostat and has been on every morning when i wake up and is running tonite as we speak .

Yup mine will stay plugged in and ready to go until the AC gets into the window

I lit mine on a particuarly chilly and damp 4th of July a few years ago.

I'm ready to shut down and have the windows open.

i have just set june 15th as annual stove shut down day.

Wow what a watse of $$$, It's chit shoulder season, I'd be burning the cheapest crap you can find, save the hot ones when you need it, surely HD/Lowes/walmart near you has something, Lowes around here is fully stocked with 1000's of bag's

Frost free date for me is last day of May. Will certainly be burning until then. The only question is how much, and do I shut the main floor stove off during the day, expecting the sun to make up for any temp drop during the morning.
