Wwhen I built my splitter I used a wedge from Rugged Made.

Does anyone have experience with their 4 way slip on wedge?

I know to be careful about knots and I lay split straight stuff.

I bought one about a year ago. It has been good so far.
It had a stop tab welled on the top so it would not go all the way on the wedge I have on my splitter. I ground the tab off and it has been fine.
I might cut some of the bottom section off to make smaller splits. The splits a larger than I like.

This is all great info. Thanks. I am splitting for an outdoor wood boiler, so a little big is fine. I just want to be able to pick up the splits! Can lift the 24" rounds the tree service drops off.
