Secondary burn tubes question.

Just been browsing new stoves, looking not buying. Just noticed some of the imported stoves to Australia have some of the secondary burn tubes removed for the Australian market. It looks like the American / Europe models have 3 or 4 burn tubes where'as in Australia these are remodelled so there is only one tube (at the front of the stove.) Any reasons for this? Any benefit?

I would think so to - but i would have thought it would be easier to build one stove for all and not re-engineer a stove. I actually bought a Country Hearth (US stove made in China) and that is exactly the same as the US model. so not sure why some would remove and some don't maybe climate?

Seems pointless. You would think more burn tubes equals cleaner burn and less wood needed. Whatever is saved by eliminating the tubes is not worth it.

It is strange why they would leave most of them out.
