I have a Lopi 1250 sitting inside an existing fireplace, the previous owner set the stove on bricks (5 inches off the fire brick hearth floor - used to be a used wood burning fireplace). I'm guessing he did this because he felt the legs for the stove were too tall. The stove sits solid on the bricks and isn't shaky and I have actually used it for 3 years now as is witch no problems. However, If I wanted to put the legs on the stove it would obviously make it stand taller - how close can it be to my block off plate? I'm trying to figure out the best set up. Any suggestions?
