I think as long as your happy with your stovepipe that's all that matters. I took a look at your picture and just could not see what you are seeing. Haha.
Welcome to the forums

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Looks great. Somebody had to miss a rafter?

Pipe looks fine. I think we have different definitions of sexy, though.

Damn.......I see it...........That's rated R......heh ! :)

Nice !

Welcome to the forum Ogopogo.

Install looks good and nothing wrong with the pipe. No doubt to miss a rafter. Might be interesting cleaning but will work.

Thanks for the welcome! There's sure lots of cool stuff here to read.
Yes....I shoulda said kinky-not sexy. ;) I'm assuming the dude that installed mine was tryin' to miss a rafter alright. I wasn't home when it was done-as for cleaning it.......maybe I'll have to undo a few screws?

Anyhow-I haven't lit her yet, the installer didn't leave the certification papers. Can't insure it without 'em.
Hopefully soon?

Our connector gained an offset when I switched out the Castine. No big deal, it will still burn fine.

I'm not worried about it burning ok-it's the cleaning of the pipe. My last woodstove in Alberta had a straight pipe-we made a cool cleaner rod for it, cleaned it from the top of the roof.

Looks like a pipe offset to me.

I like the pipe...but I like the view outside even better! Now that's sexy

Welcome to the forum ogo, that view is fantastic. I don't think you'll have any problems cleaning that pipe. What kind of stove is connected to that kinky pipe?

+1 for the view off your balcony - that is sweet. If my tired eyes don't deceive me, looks like your pup is enjoying the view too...(?)

The view is an apple orchard-and there's mountains across the big Okanagan Lake!
And yep-that's my dog on the deck!
Here he is beside the SAME brand/size of wood stove in the workshop.;) Suckin' up the heat.

dafattkidd....here's a better pic of my new wood stove:

It's made by Century Heating, that's all I know. I bought exactly the same one 2 years ago for the work shop.

That's the exact same stove that was in my house when I bought it! Got me thru the first 4 winters with zero problems. Puts out good heat but I was running it wide open so I only got 3-4 hr burn times. Don't run it wide open and I'm sure you will be fine.

Guess I should've guessed from your username but didn't clue in until I saw above.... thought I was the only one that had a female sweep! I'm guessing you had Mastersweep come out?

Hey mine is just as kinky. To center the stove between my windows, I had to use the curve to get between the joists.....

How near is the wood to the stove in the workshop? Photos can be deceiving, but the wood looks a bit close.

Our stove pipe is kinky too. I had to offset it when I put in the T6. We rarely notice it any more.

Wow, that's quite the offset! ;)
I probably won't notice mine after awhile either.

Got my certification papers yesterday and gave 'em to the insurance company. They sure ask some dumb questions, one of them was how much wood will I burn in it? Heck, I just got it!!! Haven't burnt a stick in it yet (too warm) so how am I supposed to know how much wood I'll be burning this year?
