I bent the pin in the roller of my door latch on my Drolet Baltic, on Tuesday. Since our night time temps are around -15 Fahrenheit, lately, and a busted stove means no heat at the noob’s house, I immediately hit the interwebs, looking for parts. Took about ten minutes, total, to order a complete new handle kit, at a cost of just 20 bucks. On the left is the handle kit, which I now know is made from standard hardware store parts that I can source just a couple blocks away. On the right is the door seal ($13.00) for my stove, which is the reason why I bent the original. The factory unit is denser than what I can get from Menards, from what I have read.

An ultra simple/effective/inexpensive latch, that I can easily repair with parts from the neighborhood Hardware Hank. Way to go, SBI.

Yep - I bought the stove I did because it's just one door and a lever. Simple is good when my generator wouldn't start at -15 F and the power went out..
