First 30+ kWh day here. (Max ever in a day was 37 or so iirc).
Shading issues before 7.45 and after 3.30 this time of the year.

Yesterday was the best day this year so far at 28 kwh. Pollen season hasn't started yet but may get snow this morning.

Although I do have some shade in the morning, at any time of year, right now it is from bare tree branches. But guaranteed, anytime I start up the clothes drier, clouds will move in if they aren't already there - LOL

First month over 1Mw!

That is fantastic.

I have not yet surpassed my to production day that I posted at the beginning of the week. Since we had a system move in last night, and it is supposed to last until Monday night, that 28kwh will be the highest production day for the month of March. Normally my high production day in March is 35-36 kwh. Interestingly though, this will NOT be a low total production March compared to past years.

my first bill with excess generation. 87kwh. It is kinda shocking to go from importing 960 kWh to exporting 87 kWh the next cycle.

We get paid $0.039/kwh for excess and it’s credited monthly.
Getting over $30/month credit will be difficult. But I can probably get enough credits to get through July without paying them pay some in August and start accumulating some credit to spend down in the winter.

First 60kwh day! No heat or AC use today. Car needs 25-30 kWh tonight. Panels are dirty! I sprayed them down 3 times. I don’t think it did much good. Falling off a ladder isn’t worth the hassle if we don’t get a good rain in the next week I’ll go up and get all them sprayed good as yellow season is over !

We had a moderately sunny day, with filtered sunlight. Things are improving. We hit 26.2 kWh.

I wonder if you could apply something like RainX with a hose? It really helps keep windshields clean!

Yesterday was a full sun day and I hit 41kwh production. First sunny day since April 4, although Tuesday at least the overcast was not heavy and dark, so the system produced 22kwh then.

Clouds/overcast start rolling back in today until sometime next week.

The thought has crossed my mind. It wouldn’t be a small about if rainX.

Really happy to see everybody's production and system sizes here. My project is currently in the works. This process really takes a long time... hopefully I'm not alone in that. I've been in the process since January and we just got into the "formal engineering" phase and permit submission. Roof work and tree work was done last month. Going to be a 17.8kw system, we unfortunately have electric as our only big utility. Excited to jump in and share production when we finally get turned on!

Our tree pollen season is just starting. I've hired a guy to clean our panels. The rack on the pole requires a tall ladder and a long-reach wash brush. He uses a deionized water system and that seems to work quite well. The panels look great after he is done, both arrays are done in about an hour.

So how well could they be washed by drone????

Are you having an installer do the work, or are you doing it all (or portions)?

Strap a wet sponge to the bottom and then get really good at flying in a wax on/wax off pattern!

This type of thing seemed like it’d probably clean off the panels pretty well. I’ve seen people use them for second story windows with good results.

Last month I netted 300 kWh to the grid earning $11.82. Bill was a $30 credit. New record today 66 kWh! Not cloud in the sky!

Here the same 300 kWh would be worth almost $100. But we also pay out the nose for electricity usage and don't get as much sun as you

That is great!

Three times this month I've made 44kwh. Of course every weekend it has been snowy or rainy and heavily overcast so I've had 4 days under 10 kwh (3.9 to 9.3)

Somehow, after having the highest electricity cost in the nation a couple of years ago (only under Hawaii), NH's energy cost has gone down quite a bit. That even accounts for the various fees and such going up. In March, I netted 268kwh TO the grid and made just $20.62.

My plan where we money credits monthly at the while sale rate of$0.04 per kWh is not a great incentive. Once I know I’m net to the grid for the month I’m much less likely to conserve electricity. I put 6 loads of laundry in the dryer this week.

Going by last summers usage I will be net to the grid until October! Probably will run the AC more now that we have solar though.

Welcome to the 'age of abundance' or equivalently, 'too cheap to meter'. ;lol

We just put in an 8.1 kW grid tied system. Started with the quote in January, have been live for 3 weeks. The wait to get approval to turn it on is the worst, but here it was only the power utility so it went pretty fast.

Installer is doing it all, so hopefully some peace of mind but I understand the process takes a while. Somebody who was working with the company maybe a month ahead of me is just getting their system turned on!

Congrats on your system! I started in January as well. According to the company I am working with, this should be the last week of formal engineering, then another 3 or so weeks for permits. Then I am in the installation queue, then inspections from the utility company, then final approval for turning on. I was aiming to be turned on by summer so I could try and net to the grid for winter (just heat pump things) but we will see.

I signed contract on June 26th and went online September 12 with permission to export on the 17th. If I had not needed the tree removed it could have been a couple weeks sooner. Everything was easy, inspections, permits, ect. We use our local solar install company that has a great reputation.

I did have to insist that a whole home surge protector be installed. They said they had been looking at some EMP protection product for like $6-800. It was all a gimmick. I can’t believe they were even considering it. Now thanks to me the squareD panel mounted protectors are standard for their installations.
