"I stood in disbelief in 1970 and still feel the same way in 2/7/2024 watching Terry Kath play that guitar solo !!! "

This whole scene was when I was just a kid..but he was a good player for sure. You know, I never really knew much about him. I do know from a friend that Chicago has had many players over the years. Is that Peter on bass?
"The prominent "Peter" in the iconic Chicago band is Peter Cetera, the original bassist, vocalist, and a key songwriter, part of the classic lineup with Terry Kath, Robert Lamm, Danny Seraphine, Lee Loughnane, James Pankow, and Walter Parazaider, defining their sound in the late '60s and '70s before his departure in 1985 for a solo career."

Yep, that's Cetera on bass. Lamm on keyboards. Seraphine on drums. Loughnane, Pankow, & Parazaider on horns.

Once they lost Kath (accidental self inflicted gun shot), the tone of the music changed. Not in a bad way, just different. One of the reasons Cetera left.

**** Clarification *** Dix is, and always has been a HUGE Chicago fan. last time I saw them was 7 years ago at Jones beach ampitheater. REO Speed Wagon w/ Kevin Cronin opened. The Dixette got it for me as a Mothers Day present . She said "I know you love them, but I don't know their music" I said "Yes, you do, you grew up listening to it from when you were a baby". She started singing after the 3rd song ;)
