[Hearth.com] Stove Chow Pellets $259/ ton Home Depot Southington CT

How many tons do they have there? The Wallingford one had a good 40-50 tons about a week and a half ago.

Same pellet at the same price in Middletown and Hamden Home Depots.

Edit: Also North Haven.

Will be my go-to pellet for as long as they have them.

Anyone else notice a ton of Ash with this year's Stove Chow? They burn really hot, just they've been making a mess of my stove this year. I burned 3 ton of them 2 winters ago and the Ash wasn't nearly as much as this year.

Horrendous ash from HD Stove Chow's purchased Oct 2016. The Fireside Ultras from the same store had much less ash and about the same amount of heat.

Burned a couple tons of chows 4 yrs ago and they we're ashy then...
Never bought them again..or any HD pellets.
not a fan...

This is my first year using a pellet stove and have been using stove chow and I vacuum it out everyday. I was hoping it’s just a bad batch. Kind of more maintenance than I was anticipating for a pellet stove.

I am liking the Chows from HD this year. They are ashy but they put out good heat and the carbon that builds-up in the burn pot liner does not stick; it just flakes off.
