My son just bought a nice funky property in the Catskill foothills and it came with this stove. Can anyone help me ID what this is? Comments on the setup also welcome. Thanks.

If this belongs in the "Classic" forum, apologies and mods feel free to move it.

Vermont Castings Dutchwest, I think 2461.

Its a catalytic stove, so it burned OK. Probably needs to be rebuilt which is fun.
Thanks! Any more info on that rebuild situation?

Second the VC Dutchwest.

Looks just like the one I pulled out of my fireplace last year, except with legs on it. The previous homeowner had left it behind and its in rough shape. I was thinking of using it outside as a maple syrup evaporator.[Hearth.com] Stove ID help

Thanks to everyone. I've forwarded all this great info to my son.
