I installed the stove, had it running,and the a pipe burst on interior wall when we were away and had to rip up all hardwood floors in house (a nightmare). Decided to put up a rock wall behind the stove while the mess could be made and put in a different hearth. Just need a mantel and the new floors will run right to the hearth. All is to code and I wanted to show pics as I asked several questions and suggestions along the way. Thanks.

The durarock is mounted directly to wallboard. I was able to do that, with the stone attached, and still be within the 9" minimum clearance. Ended up being much easier than having to use the spacers.
