Hi there,
I have a cubic mini Grizzly wood stove that is giving off a lot of VOCs (presumably from the paint curing). The stove is new, but I have fired it around a dozen times, and for approximately 30hrs (like their documentation states). I reached out to Cubic Mini who told me that the stove top (not the pipe) needs to be 800F -900F, while seemingly suggesting that I should be able to maintain this temperature fairly easily.
Does this sound reasonable to you all?
Any stove thermometer I have seen suggests that 800/900F would be way too high, and from my personal experience I get more like 550-600 degrees when things are really burning well, and more like 400F-500F between loads. Less when going to coals. I get a good draft, no problem starting a fire, or keeping it going.
Thanks.
