I have an englander 30 and am running the single walled pipe straight up thru the ceiling. I have measured the length and even cut a little short. I cannot seem to squeeze the pipe between the ceiling and the stove. What is the trick?
Yep, call the local hardware store and ask if they have a 6" stove pipe slip connector. I saw one in our True Value last week. It wasn't Simpson brand, but this is the idea:
I found that the stove pipe adapter (the piece that connects to the Class A chimney) had about 4 inches of pipe that slipped into the top piece of stove pipe. The top of the stove also had a little extra play. Between those two I was able to squeeze it in, but I also had 2 elbows to help me maneuver...
