suggestions for a printer? prob and all in one

HUBBYS EPSON WONT POWER ON . UNFORTUNaTELY HE LEFT IT PLUGGED IN st the other house.
so lightning etc must have did it in. He did remember the computer etc....
so any suggestion. The Lexmark old all in ones gave up the ghost.
My bigger HP does not have a scanner.
any suggestions. I saw some Epson with inkwells on Ebay and heard Kim Commando mention such years ago.No office supply store her in small town. Only other place would be the all consuming Wally World...
so Please tell which ones y'all ar happy with.

None of them. You're better off with a separate scanner and laser printer, I paid $10 for each and at home you'll probably never need to replace the toner.

I have a Brother laser printer/scanner (MFC6800) that has been going & going for 10 years now. If you can do without color printing - which I find to be a horrendous thing to keep going with inkjet printers. If I absolutely need color prints, I usually take or send the file to Walmart or the local print shop & get them to print. Otherwise I am constantly chasing inkjet cartridges - which is bad enough just printing B&W on the HP printers & plotters I also have. They use a bit of color too even if you only print in B&W, I think during regular self programmed cartridge cleaning that you can't do anything about. I was on the phone with HP for hours over that one with no satisfaction - I really like their stuff aside from that.

I second the above. I have had my fair share of all-in-one. They all left me with regret. Inkjets just seem to be a constant problem and get expensive.

I now use a single printer:
Brother HL-L2320D

Its basic, $70, just print black and white. But gets great reviews, apparantly lasts a long time, cost per page is low. It does one thing and it does it well.

I right now dont have a scanner, I used my phone and the google photoscan app when needed (for pictures) and the google drive scan app (for documents).

My old all-in-one HP units eventually developed a connection fault to the ink cartridge... the things wont even scan when the cartridge is "missing". What a waste, in the trash they went.

I have a separate scanner but now to find the correct cord...
since we moved to this place everything is jumbled. I should have labeled the ac adaptor. Like I usually did. with freezer or masking tape. Duh me.
Now since its(scanner, so old not sure if it will work on my Macs and Hubby ol Laptop with Windows 7... It was expensive years ago just like most computers were.

it worked almost like a Xerox machine.. Hey speaking of that ... I mentioned at the bank Xeroxing and younger ones said. "huh".????
...so they did fig out I meant >"make a copy of for me." LOL
otherwise its the local library(new expensive and wasted taxpayers money)
or a print shop (which has Bankers hours in this small town Either way its quite a drive. Not like my former home (city)could just walk or bicycle to.) ha ha

I'm really happy with my Canon D530/D560. It's B&W only and I couldn't be happier to leave color behind. Toner can be found for a reasonable price and lasts a long time and it's quick. Also a scanner.

It's big, though. Software is a little complicated but I made myself notes on how to do infrequent tasks, so all's good.

Once you get used to double-sided printing with a toner cartridge, I can't imagine doing anything else. Save paper, it's way faster and a drop of water is not the end of the world.

I've had the Canon MP530 for many years now. Probably the longest I have ever had a printer. I've done nothing to it except replace the printhead which finally died a couple years ago, but it was simple for me to replace. The scanner and printer all do a very nice job. The color printing is excellent and the scanner resolution is high. I like the Canon because I have had no issues with clogging in spite of infrequent use at times. With previous printers (HP) this was a constant issue. The only gripe I have is that they stop supporting the Mac scanner software for this model several years back. Updating the OS obsoleted their scanner software and Canon did nothing about it in spite of many user complaints. However, the current Mac OS system scanner software still works ok, so I am sticking with this baby until it dies.

Yup. I have 2 in my home. One for personal and another for my office. L2340DW which is the WIFI one. Love that feature! No cables.
