Was just wondering if there is things that I should be doing to my fireplace insert during the summer months to get it ready for the next burning season. I swept the chimney a couple of week before I stopped burning for the season. I plan on sweeping it again this summer, just need to have a weekend that it doesn't rain. I shoveled out all of the ash and cleaned the glass on the door. Is there anything else that I should do?

vacuuming

+1 on the vacuuming.
Make sure your blower system is clear of dust, animal hair, ashes etc...
Mizewell touch up the paint while you're in a spiff mode...
