Spruce Pointe and LaCrete are going to be almost the same. Spruce Pointe come from the Vanderwells sawmill in Slave Lake Alberta, LaCrete's from the LaCrete sawmill in LaCrete Alberta (400kms apart). Both are produced from Spruce and Pine residues from lumber production, and the forests from which these tree originate are very similar as well.

We have a pellet manufacturer in our area. Actually it's facing our backyard! MELDAN industries. Mostly softwood pellets. We don't buy there. We use a premium blend. Bought at our local RONA. Low ash and durable. LG Pellet made in Canada.

I see Rona carries two LG brands...Maximum and “regular”. Have you tried both? Which one do you currently use?
