tax credit for epa stoves finally a reality

check out this link on the PFI homesite all certified pellet stoves will be eligable provided they are cert units and not epa exempt.

unfortunately it seems they fell short of having the standard set low enough (at 75% ) for a lot of epa woodstoves which were rated at default of lower than that, i was not happy when i saw that i assure you. time to write the congressman again i guess, i wonder if he's tired of me yet

yeah , im studying this a bit deeper when i get the time to devote to it , its not exactly what i was hoping for (and i wouldnt qualify anyway) but it certainly will bring a bit of interest in pellet stoves this coming season. that would be good news for the industry as a whole

If you bought one this year you're already getting one due to the original 700 billion $ bailout bill signed into law earlier this year. It's been discussed in tedious detail in a bunch of threads including:

There's even a link to the actual legislation --- it's astonishing what other crap they loaded into that bill to get it passed. The latest legislation simply fixes a loophole that excluded 2009 purchases while including ones this year and after 2009 (and even more crap...can anyone explain why wooden arrow makers or bicycle commuters have anything whatsoever to do with the current financial market meltdown?).

Based on the quality of the PFI "reporting" on this issue, I'd question the value of anything they do, say, publish or certify.

i havent read the bill recently, i just stumbled across the release while looking at the PFI website and figured i'd post it. when last i looked at it , the bill had been passed but it hadnt been funded, however this was months ago.

im not gloating or advertising , just passing on a link to a statement i felt may be of interest
