A little pricey but no more worries and it literally takes me 2 minutes to stack the wood in the stove and light it. there is enough draw that I don't even fan the fire with the door open anymore. $400?! I think a rolled up flaming piece of newspaper shoved up the top of the stove will suffice.
I don't understand. oh well. I will just read comments and stop adding. The one thing I will say is I wish the draw collar had a heat sensor to turn on and off by itself. Good luck all.

!! I know lots of folk that live in the Basin and other high desert areas that have draft issues. None have fail to draft issues, but more like, "How do I keep my stove from sucking the lazy-boy out the stove????" Even my old place in the mountains was only hard to start because it was so tall. Let's hope the plug gets pulled and the author gets one of Craigs famous conversational PM's.
I have absolutely nothing to do with this product or the store mentioned, not on my top 500 places in Utah to look for stove stuff.

Jotulover, your posts look like SPAM to me, and are definitely over the informal rule we have about not wanting to see heavy commercial advertising. If you want to advertise your product here, talk to Craig the Webmaster about purchasing advertising space....

We have many "industry members" that post here in ways that are helpful to our members, and I'm sure that doing so is good for their businesses, but the difference is that they earn it by being good and helpful contributors, and earning the reputation and "karma points" as being the kind of people one might want to do business with, hot by seeing how hard they can push their products...
Unless you can learn how to post and participate here in a way that carries the message that you are here to be helpful and because you enjoy it, REGARDLESS of whether it generates business for you, your stay here will not be a long one...

It's an innovative product and maybe for some a nice convenience. But dang is it expensive for a basic pipe heater.

I'll add my two cents...yes, probably a "plant: poster....
this is a good idea and a good solution for many. I've seen people spend a lot more than a few hundred dollars trying to fix reversing chimneys. I've seen others give up completely and stop using their stoves. No doubt this could be a useful solution to those folks.
I saw them at the Expo and was impressed. I think some of them also do digital temperature monitoring.
Perhaps in the future some of this tech will be built into fancier new stoves....like the Nestor Martin with electric draft and the other dude here with the smart stove draft control. Sure, it won't be for everyone, but there is definitely a market.
