Music to my ears. My red oak is in the basement after sitting out for almost 2yrs. With a box fan circulating residual heat off the wood furnace, the top of the stacks are getting that ring tone.

Ha good idea. It's raining at my house the rest of the week and my green wood is all buttoned up out back 100 feet away through mud. Perhaps someone has some green wood available they can whack together...for science! @MRD1985 I know you do!
