No, just bk.

Vermont Castings still uses thermostatic control as do some European stoves.

We're not in Europe and doesn't the VC only control secondary air with the stat or is it all combustion air?

Are those funky European stoves EPA certified and/or UL listed to make them legal for install?

I would expect so. The are sold in the US and EPA listed. The Hwam and Wittus were award winners at the Green Heat stove test in DC in 2013.

They sure look cool.

They also heat exceptionally well. I was in error about the Wittus, it doesn't have a thermostat. It is however, one of the most impressive stoves I've seen. It's a small stove yet it radiates heat so intensely when in twin-fire mode that with your eyes closed you would think you were standing in front of a 5 cu ft stove running at full tilt. 93% efficient. The light show is like none other, totally mesmerizing.

RSF has inserts that can be thermostatically controlled ... but I don't believe they offer stoves.
