In my t25i the forward most air tube installs just like the manual indicates - there's a notch in the tube that rests over a tab in the mounting hole. This is critical as it keeps the tube from spinning or being able to slide to the right (a cotter pin keeps it from being able to slide to the left) and falling out.

The 3 rear tubes are the same except that there is no tab on the mounting hole, which means once installed, accidentally hitting the tube, say while loading wood, can cause it to spin and misalign the holes, or slide to the right and fall out. I'm confused as to why these tabs are missing for those 3. Does anyone understand this? Do they install differently from the forward most tube and I just don't get it?

Thanks.

I would expect each tube to be notched on the right and there should be a cotter pin on the left side of each, securing the tubes in place. If not, perhaps someone did a cleaning and didn't put the pins back in?

I contacted Napoleon, who make this stove, and they indicated I need part W370-0270 which will replace the plates the tubes mount into with ones that have the tabs on the right side so all tubes, not just the first, will be secured in place. I don't know if this was a design change, or a manufacturing defect, or what, but I asked because I'm curious. So now I just need to contact my local Napoleon dealer to get that part ordered.
