Time for a couple new chains for my Echo CS450. Suggestions welcome

When I didn't know jack about saws and assumed all chains are created equal, I bought whatever they had on the shelf at home depot.

Now I know better and have access to guys like you all. I was using my last chain with a construction project outside and really dug into a screw on the right side of my chain. It mostly killed it.

Time for a few one...or 2.

Suggestions? I'm cutting mostly alive standing trees. 1-2' diameter. Oak, maple and ash.

Love my new stihl 362cm! It's a pro grade saw and pricey, but should last forever with my uses

I like the Oregon Super 70 LPX chain it's as good as any IMHO. It's a Pro chain not much in the way of anti-kickback.

On my Stihl MS180 I'm still running Picco Micro narrow, it's a small chain but i still think it cuts darn fast for a tiny saw. I have about 4 or 5 chains for it. I think the chains are going to out last the bar.

Remove your bar from the powerhead and read the info stamped on the bar. Tell us the pitch, gauge, and DL (number of drive links). That will give us enough information to recommend a compatible chain.

I agree. Chances are it's .325. Oregn LPX or Sthl RS, both are chisel chain.
