The old VC Dutchwest Sequoia is ending its service of duty. I'm in need of a new stove. Stove needs to sit in the fireplace hearth, vented from the rear. In this case, size DOES matter! Heating a 2100sqft house. Fireplace is 42"W x 29"H x 24"D. Current stove is 27"W x 27"H x 18"D. The stove sticks out 14 1/2" from the mouth of the fireplace. Rear vent collar extends 6" from rear of stove and turns up to attach to the stove pipe.
The VC Sequoia has a front glass door, but loading takes place on the left side door. Hearth is raised 18" from the floor.

Any recommendations on a replacement stove?

Thanks

The trick is finding a big stove that has a flue outlet below the lintel height. The Jotul F500 will work. Also, take a look at Woodstock's Ideal Steel and Progress Hybrids. (The Progress has a short leg option for fireplace install.)
