Creosote stains all along the front of the top stone and spotty along the rest of the top about 1/2" thick.That's what i get for leaving the primary closed.Oh well!

Turning down low is what these stoves are all about. Was the wood not fully seasoned? Can you post a picture for others to see?

That is the exact same thing ddddden.It happened while the stove had sat idle Begreen.I read the reply from Lorin here and i thank you both for the replies.
