Just saw that Virginia Tech released a tree ID app in the google play store. Haven't been outside in the daylight since I got it, but it should be fun to test out. It's called Virginia Tech Tree (free).
 
Cool I gotta try that
 
I had leafsnap. PITA.. deleted it.
 
And here I thought the only app was the woodshed
