I think A LOT of wood is going to get burned in the next week. LoL.
For us in Virginia weather turns cold and wet on Saturday.

I'm using the opportunity to start Saturday with my "ugly" wood.
Dry, but really NOT tetris friendly!

Sometimes in my stacks I get to a piece and I think to myself what was I thinking it shoulda went to the burn barrel. Then I remind myself It’s all BTU’s in the end…. Ugly sticks need lovin’ too 😉

I also get a lot of satisfaction when getting an 'ugly' piece into the stove, especially when it's a close fit.

My satisfaction is way beyond it's btu content.

I though maybe I was weird, but you guys make me feel normal.

Almost.

I've loaded some gnarly splits the log splitter just mutilated. I don't stack them...just throw them to the side. When dry, they go in the stove if they can fit. This happens usually at the end of the burning season when I'm running low.
