Sorry for stupid questions, but I have never even heard of these things until this forum. I just want something to prevent the stove from smoking the house in the time it takes to get the generator going. Albeit power outages are not common in my parts. Is this what I should be looking for? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000OFXKFI/ref=PSD_MLT_BACK_BUTTON_CLICK

I use an APC XS1500 with a pair of 90aH marine batteries for about 8 hours run time.

How do you hook the deep cycle batteries into the APC? With a power inverter? Also what is the difference between an APC and UPC? If any

If you search the forum, you'll find many threads on this subject. There seems to be an ongoing debate about whether or not all stoves or particular stoves need pure sine wave electricity to function properly. Some say that using approximated sine can shorten the life span of delicate electronics, like the main board of your stove.

All that being said, I decided not to risk it and invest a little more on a pure sine wave ups. It's the same brand as the one you linked to, but slightly larger battery capacity and pure sine output.

CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS 1500VA 900W PFC Compatible Mini-Tower https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00429N19W/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_btwwub03AWYVK

I hope this helps.

I removed its own internal batteries and wired in the marine batteries in their place.

APC which stands for American Power Conversion is a brand of UPS which stands for Uninterruptible Power Source.
