Has anyone seen the burn pot in their stove glow 'cherry red' when running on the max setting 5 ?

Checked on the stove to see if it needed some more pellets in the hopper, it's running at full bore tonight as it's down to 14F (-11C) here outside. I opened the hopper, checked the fuel level, I then glanced down into the stove as the flames had died down, I was surprised to see that the entire burn pot was 'cherry red', it was like it had just come out of a coal forge !

I grabbed my IR gun and pointed it at the flames in the center of the chute where the pellets fall into the burn pot, got a constant reading of 588F ! HOLY SMOKES !
The stove is producing loads of heat, I can not stand in front of the stove for more than 10 - 20 seconds, it's that hot.

I have the damper for the air intake set at 3 quarters open so that the pellets don't burn too fast, just wondering if I should open it fully. The stove is keeping the house above 75F downstairs at the moment with it being 14F outside.

I will be keeping an eye on this, never seen a burn pot glow red like that before.

First picture -- stove at heat level 5, active flame, no black tips or smoke.

Second picture -- Cherry Red burn pot, I opened to hopper lid to stop fuel feeding in.

Personally ive never been on level 5. I read the feed rate for level 5 in the manual and its ridiculous to me. Ill never go above 4. I haven't had my burn pot glow yet

the front edge of mine glows when its time to clean out underneath the pot.
