Question:
I got your message on the locking bands how come the store did not explain that in the first place. Thanks again My second question if you could help is the installer wants to use two 30 degree sections to make his way around the sofit. I asked that he cut out an opening and go straight up and I'll have a roofer fix it. He states there is no need going around makes no difference. Any Opinion or sugesstion.

Generally, it's better to go thru as opposed to around. The 30 degree els are sort of a "weak link" in the chimney system (lots of seams)...and some manufacturers caution against using them outside. Also, any angles slow down the draft a bit...so all things considered, if you can go through it may be better - one man's opinion only
