We are processing the many dump loads of logs we got last spring. It's too far for the electric splitter to reach, so we are using the gas splitter. That's why we have it. It's much slower with the gas, but the rounds so far have been very large and the vertical mode is nice. Once we get into the smaller stuff, it's getting moved to the electric splitter. This is what we have done so far in two days. Some of the pieces are twisted and stringy, so it takes a while to break them down. I am looking forward to using the electric again.

Nice woodpile. Looks like oak.

Nice.
Be careful with the large rounds with splitter in vertical. Sometimes the splitter will push the big round into the ground which then lifts up the splitter creating a potential hazard.

Wait a minute. You are a wood tick from the Lyme area? Are you a bearer of Lyme disease?
