Using two chimneys for a closed loop system.

Hi guys, I have a theory that I would like to explore.

I have two chimney connectors in my basement. Obviously one will be for exhaust.

Is it possible to use the other chimney for an outside air kit hookup?

I am unsure of how it will draft. Any thoughts?

If chimneys exit beside each other, one potential problem is the OAK chimney grabs smoke and CO from the exhaust chimney and brings it back down to stove. Any OAK pipe leakage would discharge it in your house.

Yep. I figured that would be the case. I will leave that idea alone.

It was a good idea though, some gas appliances can be installed that way
