Madly in love with my new Encore cat-c. Absolutely fabulous stove.
I have one gripe and would like to know if anyone has a solution:
The little handle on the top opening plate that allows you to lift it up to put in wood, is tiny. So tiny that my big hands cannot grasp it without also touching the metal parts which burn the *&%$# out of my hand.
Anyone know of a replacement handle I can buy that will alleviate this problem? OR an easy homemade solution?
Thanks in advance

Must be a common feature with older Encores such as my 2550. When my griddle lid is open, the wood handle nearly touches the chimney pipe. I wonder if a bigger handle may rest up against the hot stove pipe

Use a glove. Easy/cheap fix.
