Vented stove top adapter

A vortex double wall connector, withits vented stove adapter (VOD0290), isrecommended for this type of installation.Consult www.drolet.ca for more details.Other brands of double wall connectorsare adequate as long as they offer theoption of a vented double wall stoveadapter

This is from the install manual for a drolet bistro. I am unfamiliar with vortex pipe and vented stove adapters. I sell Duravent and am unware of them having such a thing.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Vortex double-wall stove pipe is an SBI brand. It's good quality stovepipe. DVL will also work. If using DVL, check the fitment of the pipe to the flue collar. It may fit perfectly and not need the DVL flue collar adapter.

The manual recommends the vented flue adapter so would the DVL with-out that be an issue?

The manufacturer is recommending its own product line, not requiring it. DVL is fine.
