I will be replacing my wood stove with a pellet stove this year. Can I use my existing flu system which is six inch by using an adapter where it goes out thru the wall? thanks for all replies- Rusty

I think most pellet stove manuals should address this situation. Chances are that it's best to use it - BUT, to line it with a smaller diameter flex pipe. This is quite easy to do and makes certain that the stove operates better. Pellet stoves are very sensitive to flue diameter and back pressure, etc.
