New pellet stove owner having a hard time getting a steady heat output from my vistaflame 170. Added a fresh air intake. Using maine wood pellets and Corinth. Barely hitting 70 when standing five feet away with the stove set on 5. Any help would great.

I have the Enviro Maxx same stove as yours. 5 on my stove would heat the house to 85 degrees in no time at all, stove would be over 380 degrees. There is something wrong. How long did you let it run? On number 5 I could set a rack of wet close 7 feet away an it you be mostly dry in about 1.5 hours. Is the draft set most of the way in? How big is your House?

The house is 2000 square feet. The stove is in the basement. The draft is set most of the way in. I've called the install people to come and look at it . Of course they can't get here to dec 10. I had running for 3 days straight

Is the stove on a thermostat? Try to run in manual mode. Three days on number five did you use more then 2 bags a day? On number 5 fire box should be full of flames.

Danp76 PM a phone number will try to call you an see if we can get this fixed.

Will do we will be out of town till Monday. I was looking at the stove at its not level at all..With the front part slopping down off my slab. Wondering if that might have effect. Need to raise the front 1/2 inch to be level with back.

Enjoy the weekend. Many things you can do to try to get more heat.

I have a vista flame vf 55 and had similar issues when I first got the stove. On some VF stoves there is an adjustment plate over the feed auger inside the pellet hopper. you may need to slide this up to reveal more of the pellet feed auger to allow more pellets into the stove. Can't say I'm very impressed with the VF-55 although others seem to love their stoves.
