Newbie question: Can anyone upload or post a link below, to a fire that's going at the right speed and perfect temp for heat output?

Basically I want to see how slow I should be aiming for the flames to be, without smoldering obviously. I think I'm turning my air down too late into the burn.

That is going to vary a lot with the stove model, wood burning, how it is loaded, the air control setting etc. A cat stove is going to look very different from a tube stove.

Turn down the air a little faster and a little farther and see what happens.

PS: Can you add your stove make/model to your Signature line?
