Hi,
There's a current chimney Chase on our house that has wood siding and most of our house has wood siding. But the wood siding is now over 30 years old and rotting and I am replacing it all with vinyl siding. Some of this wood siding is on the chimney Chase and so I would like to replace it as well with vinyl, is this okay safety-wise?

If the (class A) chimney pipe in the chase has the required clearances, then yes. Clearances are oto combustibles, and there is no difference between wood or vinyl siding (or the framing of the chase).
