Is the 90 degree turn a non issue with draft? I'm looking at installing a princess in a mobile home and chimney length and bracing could be an issue if I went straight up.

I did my first 6 break in fires outside, Before moving it into the house, I hooked up 16' of pipe and did what the book said. that way all the stink was outside. Only stink I'm gonna have now is where I added 13" of pipe, I wrapped it with Header Wrap Had to do something

Total chimney length about 24 feet. From where the vent goes in to the chimney to the top of the chimney probably 16-18 ft.

Pipe is around 15 inches before it turns into the chimney.

The manual recommends several feet (I believe it is 36") of double wall before the first bend. Your install is not ideal. The 16 feet of chimney is good but it is probably cold outside chimney.

So 15" interior single wall then a 90, then another 90, into the cold clay 16' chimney.

Be sure the cleanout door is tight and the cap clear to get the best performance you can get. Would it be possible to add length on top of the chimney?

I am planning on replacing the single wall pipe with double wall pipe, I'm probably going to order it this week. The manual recommends two 45s instead of a 1 90 so I will do that.

I'm happy we're talking about this! The vertical pipe going from the top of the stove into the 90 is around 15 and a half inches. I heard you can't cut double wall pipe, what should I do with that?

The clean out door is very tight I tucked some fiberglass insulation in it too. The chimney cap is clear of everything I just cut down the tree next to it.

Don't have the money to extend the chimney this year, but I was thinking about doing a liner maybe next year. Can I just extend the liner up rather than the chimney?

Almost forgot, they also put stove pipe in the chimney hole too. But I figured that I wouldn't have to do that since it's cast iron?

I know nothing about mobile home installation, beyond the fact that the requirements are different (stricter) than for a non-mobile home. Be sure to check the owner's manual to see if the stove is rated for use in a mobile home and what the installation requirements are. An improperly installed woodstove can be life-threatening.

Thanks for your concern. The BK's are rated for mobile home if you use air kit. In fact that's the only way I convinced my wife I could do this safely.

The liner is not rigid enough to support itself up in the air. You can use a rigid liner the whole way or you can use a rigid extension above the masonry.

You buy an adjustable length section. Like a slip. They have it.

I had roughly 24" of single wall then a 90* turn then roughly 20" of horizontal single into roughly 18" of triple wall to 90* up 20' of triple wall inside an insulated chimney chase added to the exterior of my house. It would belch smoke if you opened the door too fast or if she was ripping on a full load. I later put two 45* bends inside the house with single wall (prior to learning about going double wall on this forum) and it worked MUCH better. It cut down on my total horizontal amount and I think just plain made for a smoother path for flow. Keep an eye on it during the season and go to some cheap single wall 45*'s to get you through if you can't take the big hit for all new double wall the first season. YMMV
