What Is In Your Stove Right Now?

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
We bottomed out at 26.8 this morning, up here was still 66 & 68 in the basement. Two loads of pine were done by noon and the wife added another 3 splits.

A nice Norway Spruce load for the first fire of the season, a couple pics also. First is the last, last time I will see the BK logo that is 😉 it slowly disappears as the season progresses. No point in cleaning the glass as it lasts about a day.

Nothing! It was 28 yesterday morning and I made some kindling. Had to head off to work and PT, got home it was 60! Just not fair. Wife says "just wait until we move to the new house and have the new KE40. Not happening! Next cold snap, the match is going to get struck.

Just a reminder to all us wood burners...

I was recently contacted about a new wood stove user survey. I told them the bet place to get responses is this site! Here is the email I received explaining the survey and how you as a wood burner can participate.

Gonna split and stack this ironwood off to the side, so I can burn it for a couple days exclusively. Excited to see what it’s capable of, in a year or two of course.
