Looks like locust.
 
More like basswood to me. Heavy when wet, light as a feather dry?
 
Whack a round open and sniff, if it smells like Pinesol it's Sassafras, if not I think maybe Cottonwood or some other low end hardwood.

2ed the rock oak
 
Pic is too low res to make a determination. Color looks like our local hickory, and photo is way too grainy to see the bark, but that doesn’t look like our hickory bark.

I cut more oak than probably anyone on this forum, and I’m in PA, but that’s not the color of any local oak I’ve ever seen. How long has it been cut?
