I am looking at 2 inserts tonight.
1 Lopi Revere age??
2 Napoleon 1402 about 8yrs old
From what I see they are all most the same. Is one better than the other?
Thank you in advance

The Lopi will hold its value better, and is more valuable. Also more durable in my opinion.

Need more input Dawn.

Where is it going, FP dimensions, house size, layout, etc.

Don't make a rash decision. Be informed, get more input.

And get your firewood supply NOW !!

Welcome to the forums !!

Thank you for the help
THe house is a bi- level with a Great room as you come ifront door that faces north from the garage. Then you go up or down the stairs.
This room is open up to the upper level so the ceiling is at 13 ft. The fireplace is brick and mortar and currently has a Cemi Concept II in there that does a great job just can't connect to a liner. We use ceiling fans to push and pull the heat as well as the cold air return sits across the room from the fireplace. The room is about 10x20 has an 8 ft sliding glass door with a doggie door. The fireplace is: ( see pics)
28 Deep at the bottom
30 Tall at the front
35 Wide at the front
21 Deep at the top
Total house size is 2150 sq ft
The Cemi will increase the thermostat in the middle of the upstairs in front of the up to 80 but try to keep it around 74. Which makes the farthest basement rooms about 67. The house is fairly well insulated added to the attic, added siding with some insulation all new windows and doors. The house faces north and built in 1975. A couple of years ago the furnace only came on 10 times and that was in the morning.
I just saw the Lopi and it is dirty some surface rust, tubes look great for the age, needs a paint job, gasket, blower and a handle. They are asking $200. I didn't tell them but I have a blower I made with the help of the owner of an electric shop. It is hard wired to a digital hard wired timer and rheostat. It really puts out the heat, see attached pic. I think I covered ask of the bases. Let me know if you need more info. I am still trying to go see the Napoleon since it is only 8 yrs old. The tag on the Lopi showed around 1990 & 1994.
Again thank you all for the support, help and advice.
Dawn
