Who make this stove?

Merry Christmas to all.

As Im waiting for everyone to wake up for Christmas morning, I was searching CL and seen this. I never seen a stove like this. Anyone know a name or make? Thanks Frank

Wood stove - ALMOST NEW- Installed last year and used a couple times. CAST IRON

Comes with all the pipping that goes up from the stove. Also comes with the padding/mat for underneath the stove.

Gets the home nice and warm.....

CASH ONLY- BUYER NEEDS TO REMOVE/UNINSTALL THE STOVE BY THEMSELVES AND THEN HAVE A COUPLE PEOPLE TO HELP CARRY IT OUT AS THIS STOVE IS VERY HEAVY.

That looks like a Garrison woodstove with a soapstone top. I just replaced mine with a regency insert this past Saturday. It puts out a lot of heat. To my knowledge Garrison built a small, medium, and large version of this stove. (Garrison 1,2,3) It uses a key to open the doors, and has two draft controls at the rear of the stove.

When they say "almost new" I hope they mean rarely used because these stoves were built between 1979- the early 80's. Mine has a date stamp of 1979 on the door.

yup, garrison. went out of bussines in 1981........so like new only 34 years old

According to the manual the body of the stove is one quarter inch hot rolled steel, and the doors are made from low phosphorous gray iron.

I refurbed a few Garrison stoves back in the day. Was always impressed by the thickness in the steel. Seemed like a bullet proof shell to me. Figure if the hearth is worth a hundred..Id say the stove is worth 200-300. I'd show up with $300 cash. If that chimney is as old as the stove, its worthless. If it turned out the chimney was less than 10 years old, I'd maybe throw another 100 at it if it includes the whole class A system.
