I’ve seen where some pellet stoves allow venting to have reduced clearance to below and to the sides of windows if an OAK is being used. Just curious why this is. Thanks
 
An OAK supplies air for combustion if no OAK installed the
combustion air must be pulled in somewhere . Windows are one
place where air can leak . So a leaking window close to a vent
could allow exhaust to enter the room and that's a NO NO
