A usual on a forum, people often hear about the problems associated with whatever product. This is educational to a degree but what about the other side? One rarely sees someone posting that says, my stove is great, no problems and produces the heat that's needed.

Well, lets hear it. Who has had positive experiences with their stoves? What do you like about them? What would you recommend to others? Keep it positive.

I cannot comment yet as I'm five days away from my install (Lopi Yankee Bay) but plan to provide input whether good or bad.

Swim, not a bad topic to bring-up, although there will be some of us that will be afraid :ahhh: to say anything for fear of immediate problems with an otherwise good running, trouble free stove ......sort of the "I knew I shouldn't have kept my big mouth shut" ......LOL.

But I'll take a chance (and knock on a BIG piece of wood and my head), and say that other than the regular cleanings, I have had "0" problems with my Astoria.

Your Yankee Bay is the same stove, and i hope you have the same results I have had. (or did you jinxs yourself in advance??)

Great idea to create a "Positive" thread!

Except for a loud circulator fan (Replaced), it has worked very well!!
0F outside right now and toasty inside.
So sorry OPEC!! Only burned 70 gal since October.


Pros:

**Excellent burn pot design (Can do a decent job burning high Ash pellets)

The longer I have and use the P38 the more I like it. It`s been running flawless since I bought it used last spring. Nada issues.
In the past I`ve not entirely believed a few posts from some who have made what I thought was exaggerated claims to heating their whole house with a pellet stove but I`m beginning to feel a bit apologetic and tasting a bit of crow.
I `m beginning to think I could heat my entire house (1800 sq ft) with my stove if I moved it up to the first floor.
Of course I`d have to use BB hot water in the finished basement if I continued to utilized that living space in the winter months so it might not be worthwhile to move it.
So far I`ve used approx 1 ton since last spring (maybe even 60 bags)
I`ve not had an oil delivery in exactly 16 weeks today and the tank is over 1/4 full.
It`s a bit early to tell and I might not save a bundle but the savings are at least beginning to be measureable. I was not as enthusiastic some weeks earlier but the cold weather outside has little to no effect on the inside of my house. I burn at # 2 setting in this 10 degree weather. This little entry level pellet stove from Harman is a real good performer and really stingy regarding pellet useage.

Knock on a pellet, all hopes have been exceeded, learning curve (expected), dialing in to fit my situation (expected), fine tuning to get it running right (expected), house at 68 F with minimal effort (bonus).

I thought my stove would keep my 100000 sqft 8 story home at 72 degrees in -20 degree weather on 1 bag a day . Breckwell lied to me . LOL , I love mine , easy to run , fix and clean . Good heat , what more could you ask for , Oh yeah got it at a great price.

My post count is low due to the fact I'm not asking many questions. I love my Avalon Astoria! It was a little more $$ than I was looking to spend, but I couldn't be happier. Heats 2000 sf of the house I'm using during the winter without problem. I'm hoping the 5 tons I bought will last through the winter.I only have 2.5 tons left...eek

lots of heat. Keep it clean and filled with pellets and I'm good to go.

I bought the Enviro EF3 this fall and have only good to say about it. Very easy to clean and operate. We started burning the 3rd week of September and have 136 bags (2.7 Tons) through it so far with a full cleaning at every 50 bags as per dealer suggestion.
I haven't used the furnace yet but have had the propane fireplace on in the evening when we first get home and pump up the pellet stove output.
Iwould recommend these stoves

Really happy with my Qudra-Fire Castile Insert. No problems and plenty of heat.

Happy with my Castile has been running since Oct. and still not using the propane furnace and no problems with the stove. Used 46 bags pellets so far not sure I will have enough to get through winter. Easy to clean.

Two Breckwells in the house and had to replace a combustion blower on one and a circulation blower on the other. Both with in a month or so of the install. Other than that the house is warm and toasty. Since it has been so warm in here the local college girls have been hanging out in their bikinis in the front room.

While rapping away on my wood desk as I type, very happy with my stove so far. 5.4* out right now and livingroom is 73*. One bedroom gets a little cold ( just heard the girl say its gotta be cold out tonight) but overall house is much warmer than it would be on oil and I'm more than pleased with price to performance differential of heating with pellets. Had friends over today and they are now thinking about getting one for next year, they loved the heat the stove puts out.

Good thread! I too had thought of starting a thread along these lines, but was "afraid" my good "luck" would cease! I purchased my stove new, a Breckwell P22 Charm, in 1994 as a supplement to LP forced air. The 1st couple of years it was used as stated, but ever since, it has been my primary source of heat. It does a pretty good job of heating my 1k sf concrete block house with the only insulation being in the ceilings and floor.
Now here comes the "Knock on pellet"(as someone noted) part of the tale, I have not had to repair or replace any parts or components except for window and door gaskets here and there. To say that I am a happy and satisfied Pellet stove owner is really an understatement. Now with all that said, I am for the 1st time hearing the combustion blower "singing" it's farewell tune here and there. Oh well, can't complain, she's been too good to me

First year with my US Stove Co. 6039 Hearth Focus. and I am very happy with it. For the relatively cheap price it is a very versatile and forgiving appliance. I have been making the switch from pellets to corn in recent days, because corn is cheaper and hotter. I have received a lot of help from the following US stove specific site, in case anyone else is interested. Some of the people on this site love their stoves more than their wives, I am sure.
