I apologize right now because I know somewhere in this forum the question has already been asked. However, trying to search for it is a PITA...pain in the ass!
If I have a log that measures 32" diameter & 77" long (approx), what is the formula for finding out how much wood to expect from that?

Area x length

pi x radius squared times length

3.14 x 16 x 16 times 77 = ~62,000 cubic inches = ~36 cubic foot solid

About 1/3 dictionary cord. That is stacked after being split.
