Some kind of Hickory. The Hickory specialists will chime in soon.
 
Any leaves in your neighbor's yard from it that you could take a picture of? Could be hickory, could also be ash or Norway maple based on the bark. Leaves would help.
 
I agree with gzecc. And my guess is pignut hickory.
 
Need pics of bark and leaves.
 
That does look to (a kind of) hickory to me.
