My Dad cut up some wood that was down from his property...anyone know what this stuff is? I don't have the leaves, it's winter here in Canada.

1. One looks green and the other seasoned. These are only about 4" diameter.

2. The one with the pink on the inside?

3. Then this one has tiny little thorns on it.

Thanks all :D

The first pic looks like some sort of softwood (fir/pine/etc).

The most of the stuff in the second and third pics looks like some sort of maple.

1st photo looks like Aspen and the remainder looks like Maple

I cut down cedar that looked like all three pics years ago for fence.

chopped down and shoulder carrying length with an axe.
Hoofed out of the forest about 1/8 mile by foot.
Much younger shoulders and legs. :)

The third one is Maple? Maple trees have thorns on them?
