Yellow (Tulip) Poplar range is pretty much anywhere east of the Mississippi. I wouldn't mess with it unless I was under the gun to get something dry by next winter...I would spend my time on longer-burning stuff. That said, it does have the benefits listed earlier...
 
It's really light. I'm new in this I just want to rule out pine....
