Usually im pretty good at identifying wood but I can't put my finger on this. Had a sorta sweet smell when I cut it. Any ideas would be awesome doesn't smell like oak or anything I'm used to.

The bark (gray, smooth and fluted) in pic #3 looks like hornbeam, Carpinus caroliniana (aka blue-beech, muscle-wood, or ironwood) - http://dendro.cnre.vt.edu/dendrology/syllabus/factsheet.cfm?ID=17
Carpinus makes for good firewood. It's a small tree, but with dense wood that is on par with oak, hickory and the locusts.

Hornbeam. AKA Blue beech, AKA Musclewood...

Just Blue beech, forget the other nicknames

We call it Iron wood

I agree -- musclewood. I love its common names: blue beech, musclewood, ironwood. In my house we call it muscle beach. Have never had any for firewood.
