I'm thinking this might violate fire code--along with common sense:

LOL, that's just 15 minutes up the road from me. We've never been accused of being the smartest people in the region. ;lol

Oh yeah, that's fine . . . probably just needed to dry out some wet wood. I mean people put wet wood on their woodstoves all the time to dry it out so this must be safe, right?:rolleyes:

OK, just for the record in case someone didn't see the Smileys . . . this is a very, very, very bad idea . . . unless you would like to meet the men and women in your local fire department some night.

Classic.
Looks like a nice furnace.
FWIW I have a buddy that does similar and he actually put wood blocks under the legs of his wood stove to raise it up a bit. Brilliant for easing the loading, until you consider what the actual PURPOSE of a wood-stove is...
He's a smart guy, but he didn't listen at all when I told him it might burn his house down.
3 years of hounding & he's still rockin' the "seasoned" Red Oak burned on delivery.

I just don't think that is 24" side clearance.........How can people sleep at night and not fear waking up to an inferno !!!
